Ever wondered how a fusion welded window is manufactured from start to finish? In this video, we take you inside the window manufacturing process and show how welded frames, welded sashes, insulated glass, and final assembly come together to create a finished window.
The process begins with a vertical four-point welder, where the window frame undergoes a fusion welding process. The welding creates a strong connection at the corners, helping produce a durable and precisely constructed frame.
Next, the welded frame moves to a CNC corner cleaner. This step removes excess weld material and cleans up the corners, creating the smooth, finished appearance expected from a professionally manufactured window.
The same basic fusion welding process is also used on the window sashes. After the sash is welded, it moves through the glazing process. Silicone is applied, the insulated glass unit is installed, and a removable glazing bead is added to complete the sash.
Finally, the finished fusion welded frame and welded, glazed sash are brought together during final assembly. The result is a fully constructed window ready to be installed in a home.
In this video, you’ll see:
- How a four-point window welder works.
- The fusion welding process.
- How CNC corner cleaning improves the finish.
- How welded window sashes are manufactured.
- The insulated glass glazing process.
- How glazing beads are installed.
- How the frame and sash are combined.
- The final window assembly process.
If you’re interested in window manufacturing, fusion welded windows, vinyl/PVC windows, glazing, or modern window production, this behind-the-scenes process gives you a closer look at how the finished product comes together.
Watch until the end to see how the individual components become a fully constructed fusion welded window ready for installation.

Speaker (00:02):
So for our fusion welded window, we’re going to use a vertical four point welder that’s behind me.
It’s going to create a weld flash back into about an eighth of an inch back onto the corners of the weld.
That way we can create that flash, fuse everything together, create that strong fusion welded process.
Once we go through the fusion welded process, we’ll then go over to our CNC corner cleaner that’s going to clean up those corners, give you that beautiful aesthetic that you’re after, and then that’s going to be ready for finish assembly up our finishing line.
Once we go through that on the component side for our frames, we’re also going to be doing a similar process on our sashes because we offer a welded frame and welded sash.
We’re then going to go through the glazing process where we apply silicone to the inside of the sash, drop our insulated glass unit into that sash, apply our removable glazing bead to that.
