 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So first off, the sales person was VERY nice…no shade to him and I wish him the most success in life.

So I am a retired renovations contractor (I’m not a tradesman but I do understand pricing, product and processes).  We had a salesman come to the house.  He said I’ll measure your house and I’m trained to do it without climbing on the roof…ok.  Maybe he has a satalite report just like I had (by the way, as a homeowner you can and should order a measurement of your roof online….its like $10-$20).  He comes into the house and gives the sales pitch about company history and the product.  I ask him how many square did he get on the roof….he said 19 (I was kinda floored because my report said 11, with 15% waste it should be 13). He asked me what I expected the price to be, I said let’s see what you have and he wrote on a pocket notepad $25k!!! (For a 26 gauge exposed fastener galvalume with regular synthetic felt). I told him we was so far apart I would just thank him for coming.  He said let me make a call,  then he writes down $16k,  a $9k difference!!! Like they were just throwing darts trying to see what I could afford to pay.  And to be honest I was expecting a proper bid emailed me two days later with a price and material schedule.  For reference, on the high end a metal roof of that quality tops at $800-$900 a square so less than $11k.  My question is are they just selling in the product and subbing it to third party contractors?  I’m honestly curious. 🫤
